Kazakhstan - Health Sector Technology Transfer and Institutional Reform

WASHINGTON, January 15, 2008: The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

IBRD Loan: USD$ 117.7 million

Terms: Maturity = 15 years; Grace = 5 years

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The objective of this project is to introduce international standards and build long-term institutional capacity in MOH and related healthcare institutions in support of key health sector reforms pursued by the Government of Kazakhstan in the context of the State Health Care Reform and Development Program.
